Acceptable use policy
1. Scope
This policy forms part of the Terms of service (6.2). It applies to every account and to every use of the Oltaris website, API, SDKs and dashboard. It exists because the software routes payment requests to regulated payment providers, acquiring partners and card schemes whose rules bind us and, through us, you.
2. Prohibited activities
- Processing payments for goods or services that are illegal where they are sold or delivered.
- Processing payments for a business, product or website other than the one declared for the account.
- Submitting transactions that are fraudulent, that the customer has not authorised, or that are structured to evade screening, reserves or limits.
- Misrepresenting prices, delivery terms or the identity of the merchant to customers.
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to the platform, probing its security, or interfering with its operation or with other accounts.
- Using API keys, credentials or data belonging to another account.
- Reselling or sub-licensing access to the platform without written agreement.
3. Restricted and prohibited business types
Certain business types cannot be supported, or can be supported only after specific review, because of law, scheme rules or the requirements of our processing partners. These include, without limitation: sale of counterfeit or unlicensed goods; unlicensed financial services, securities or lending; unlicensed gambling; adult content where not lawfully licensed; weapons and controlled substances; and any activity on sanctions lists or involving sanctioned persons or territories. If you are unsure whether your business falls within a restricted category, ask before connecting.
4. Customer data
You may use customer data obtained through the platform only to fulfil the transaction and as permitted by law. Card data must never be stored, logged or transmitted outside the payment partners’ PCI DSS-compliant processing flows.
5. Enforcement
Where this policy is breached, we may suspend or close the account, and report activity to the payment partners or authorities where required; the payment partners may in turn apply holds or reserves under their own terms. Where practicable we notify you first and give you an opportunity to respond.
6. Reporting misuse
Suspected misuse of the platform may be reported to contact@oltaris.io. Reports are acknowledged within 24 hours on business days.
